Thrive programs address all aspects of behavioral health.
Using the latest evidence-based research and next generation technologies, Thrive solutions deliver high quality, cost effective training. Our flexible architecture can even be customized with specific protocols or treatment plans and add-ons like virtual reality and community change campaigns.
Here's a brief look at the science that goes into all of Thrive's programs.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Behavior change is an essential component in treating many chronic conditions and diseases. Thrive programs incorporate decades of proven behavior change research, most notably Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is an action-oriented psychotherapeutic approach focused on the link between thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
Decades of research has shown that learning and effectively employing CBT techniques can improve a variety of behavioral health issues. These include mood, anxiety, sleep and eating disorders as well as PTSD, combat stress and substance absuse recovery. CBT is also proven to reduce the risk of these disorders, especially for those at highest risk.
Through CBT, a person learns to:
- Distinguish between thoughts and feelings
- Become aware of how thoughts can influence feelings in ways that are not helpful or supportive
- Recognize “automatic” thoughts and how they can impact emotions
- Develop critical thinking skills for evaluating "automatic" thoughts and assumptions
- Learn to disrupt, correct generate alternatives to “automatic” thoughts
Social Media and Gamification
Elements of gamification, such as reward contracts and social currency are built-into Thrive programs. Users can negotiate contracts and rewards based on goals. For example, patients can receive “points” from clinicians for medication compliance, meeting attendance, training module completion, etc. “Community” points can also be awarded by members of discussion forums or support groups, on or offline.
Thrive solutions can be customized to offer two levels of social support: online discussion forums and live virtual reality (VR) support groups. Discussion forums can be synchronous or asynchronous, moderated or not. Similarly, VR support groups can be structured with specific themes and topics (virtual AA meeting, suicide prevention parents group, etc.) or left unstructured for socializing and support.
Thriveware Technology Platform
Thriveware is a flexible technology platform integrating numerous components for behavioral training and practice as well as social support into a single, unified solution.
Key features include a variety of assessments and adaptive algorithms to deliver the right training modules at the right time. A flexible reporting interface allows administrators, parents and other super-users to monitor progress at individual or aggregate levels while receiving real-time alerts when warranted.
